The new album: "Bad For You Baby"

The new Gary Moore album will be released by Eagle Records on the 22nd of September under the title "Bad For You Baby". This is the third new studio album in 3 years, so we can say that it isn't so bad! As Gary mentioned in an interview we will hear bits of different styles, while he keeps his signature blues/rock style and sound. On the artwork you can see a live photo from Gary's first ever concert in Hungary!

New compilations!

EMI Finland released a new compilation under the title "Have Some Moore Vol. 2 - The Best Of Gary Moore". We've got the first part in 2002, that time the first disc included only ballads while the second had the faster rock and blues hits. This time the record company released a more "mixed" compilation with songs (mostly) from the '80s on the first disc and a nice collection of (mostly)  blues songs on the second. Of course we will find some live recordings as well from both period.

"New" drummer in the band! UPDATED!

At the moment Gary Moore and the band playing in Russia/Latvia/Belarus and as you can see on the pictures it seems Gary has asked his old friend Brian Downey to help him out on these concerts in April. At the moment we have not further info about the reasons, why Sam Kelly disappeared from the line-up (and also from the Official Gary Moore Website's biography page!), but it seems the collaboration in between Gary and Sam just didn't worked well during the German dates.

A Blues Night with Gary Moore!

The best jazz/blues/rock festival in Europe is just announced that on the 7th of July 2008 Gary Moore will return to the beautiful Montreux to play a concert as a headliner in the Stranvinski Auditorium, the main hall of the Montreux Jazz Festival. As you can read at the festival website Buddy Guy, Otis Taylor, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers also will play on the same evening under the title "A Blues Night with Gary Moore" and hopefully the audience will see some guest appearances as well during the evening. Surely this event will be the highlight of the summer leg of the tour.

New songs in the recent setlists!

For those who were lucky enough to see Gary's concerts in Germany during the first leg of the tour in 2008 (or the last leg of the promotion tour for his latest record, "Close As You Get") he had some surprises. Although the new studio album is not released yet (rumours says it won't until November), Gary inserted 5 new songs into the setlist, replaced this way most of the songs from the last album in the live program. Some great tunes are disappeared from the set like "Hard Times" or "I Had A Dream", but instead of them we got some more uptemo songs and a new ballad as well.
