At the moment Gary Moore and the band playing in Russia/Latvia/Belarus and as you can see on the pictures it seems Gary has asked his old friend Brian Downey to help him out on these concerts in April. At the moment we have not further info about the reasons, why Sam Kelly disappeared from the line-up (and also from the Official Gary Moore Website's biography page!), but it seems the collaboration in between Gary and Sam just didn't worked well during the German dates. If you check Sam's website, his tour schedule is not mentioning any dates with Gary, so probably we will hear his playing only on the new record, as they started to record the album together...we will see what happen...

Sam Kelly is the new man in the line-up!
As Brian Downey has decided to step down from his current playing commitments, in order to spend more time with his family, so drummer Sam Kelly has joined the studio and live line-up of Gary's band. Sam also played with the Papa George Band before, the same place where Gary invited from into his band Pete Rees and Vic Martin in 1999. In the name of the fans of Gary I would like to say thankyou to Brian for his work with Gary during the last few years. Personally for me it was something special to see him playing the first time in Dublin 2005 and of course many times since then! It was great to see how he enjoyed the playing with Gary and the others in the band. I wish you good health and lots of good music in the future. Hopefully we will see you again on stage with Gary on some occasions!
