1952 - 2011
Deep Purple keyboardist Don Airey will tour Europe in support of his latest release “All Out” on Mascot Records. The "All Out Tour" (see dates below) will cover Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria. The band also featuring the great Darrin Mooney on drums and Laurence Cottle on bass guitar, both of them played with Gary in the past. Their program will include songs from Don's solo albums and big Whitesnake, Deep Purple classics, but Don also planning to pay his tribute to Gary on this tour...
I've received great news from the local distributor of Eagle Records and Eagle Vision products. Now it is confirmed that the long-awaited Jimi Hendrix tribute gig will be released on CD, DVD and Blu-Ray in September (more details soon!). It was recorded at Hippodrome in London on 25th October 2007. Gary Moore, Darrin Mooney and Dave Bronze have played a great set of Jimi Hendirx classics, and in the finale Billy Cox and Mitch Mitchell also joined Gary to play three of the biggest Jimi Hendrix songs. No need to mention how serious was Gary about this event. He was in fire and played the Hendrix tunes as only a few guitarists able to do. But we all know that Gary was able to play easily any of his heroes' style, doesn't matter it is Peter Green, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix. What a great concert it was. This material is really something that worth waiting for some more months. They have played the following set of songs...
It is happened a couple days ago, when we have received a nice message from Tony Curry of BBC Northern Ireland, who produced the documentary "Gary Moore - Still Got The Blues" last year. They will give us permission for a one-time screening of their nice film at our Memorial Concert in Budapest. It will be a really nice addition to start the evening! Thankyou for this kind gesture!
I would like to thank You for all the support and kind words we have received before and after our first Memorial Event for Gary! It was a hard start, but on the next morning we've all felt the same, that we had to do this somehow. At the end of the day it was a special evening, with some magical moments all together with musicians and fans. Please give me some more days, soon I will find time to upload images, videos and a proper review of the last couple unforgettable days.
13th November 2009 - Budapest, Hungary - He will always be remembered!
We have received an amazing gesture from an American artist Tom Noll, who has offered to auction one of his prints from the original oil painting what he created as a tribute to Gary Moore. You can bidding on that beautiful print at the bottom of this page. As you can see below, Tom also sent us some smaller signed photo prints what you can bidding on as well. All proceeds will go to help our memorial event on Gary's 60th birthday...
I would like to ask your help!
As you may all know it, Gary Moore's 60th birthday is very close, and we have to celebrate it somehow! We would like to start a tradition for the coming years with making a Memorial Concert on the 4th April to remember Gary together on his birthday, and what else could be better than remembering with a concert. Each year we could choose another country to organize this event, but this first one would be here in Budapest, as for us it was easier to start the whole thing to organize. A good venue with proper big stage, lights, etc already stood behind us, and we have started to put together the program as well, but we really need your support, too. Yes, it's about raise money to cover related expenses, like flying tickets, hotels, etc.
The main set of our concert will be played by Gary Moore's last blues line-up, Pete Rees on bass guitar, Vic Martin on keyboards and Steve Dixon on drums. The great German musician and guitar player Henrik Freischlader will join them, and Gary's brother Cliff Moore will be here, too. There will be local bands and guests as well, and some of Gary's friends also will joining us on this special evening. Former BBC radio DJ and one of Gary's closest friend Ian McDonald flying to Budapest from Ibiza to play an acoustic set together with famous Russian blues guitarist Sergei Voronov. His latest album featuring one of the last studio recordings of Gary, as he "gave" to Sergei this guitar solo to say thankyou for their friendship. Our dear friend Darren Main, Gary's personal assitant during the last twenty years also will be with us, and will bring with him his very talented son, Harrisen Larner-Main, who will join to the acoustic set. We are putting together a little photo/art exhibition as well from rare press and live photos and other interesting pieces. Tom Noll's beautiful work also will be displayed until we will send this amazing print to the winner of our auction. (Click here for more info about it)
I know that money is tight everywhere, but if you are able to donate any amount to support us, that would be a big help! What we can offer in return, that we will share the video recording of the concert with everybody who will support us with a donation.
We will record it with one camera for sure, but there is a good chance for a professional multi-camera recording, too...it's all depends on the budget we have.
Of course the best if you can join us at the concert, so if you will be able to travel to Budapest for this Memorial Concert, feel free to contact us and we will help you! We wanted to keep ticket prices low, to give the chance to attend to the possible most people. So it costs (in advance) 3500 HUF, which is around 10 gbp, 12 euro or 16 usd.
Thankyou for your time to read it! Looking forward to hear from you!
...and would like to thankyou for your support in advance!

On 26th October we have planted a little tree in the centre of Budapest.
After that shocking Sunday in February, weeks and months passed so quickly, that I've found myself under blossoming cherry trees in the blink of an eye. Just like in the last couple of years - related to my work -, we have spent some nice days together with our friends and teahouse guests in a little botanical park in the heart of Budapest. We are usually celebrating Hanami in that park, making teas, and enjoying the spring and the beautiful flowers of these Sakura trees.
This spring wasn't the same. As these Hanami days usually are in the first weeks of April, just around Gary's birthday, I wasn't able to get out of my mind the feel that we have to plant a tree like this, dedicated to the memory of Gary Moore. As these trees are so beautiful, they are also sad in the same time. Our Japanese friends knows it better, but these short-lived flowers are also known as the synonyme of the beautiful but short life, what we have to enjoy and appreciate...

Hux Records will re-release Dr. Strangely Strange's second album "Heavy Petting" on
31st October 8th November 2011. The album was originally released in September 1970 with Roger Dean's cover artwork and one of the first recorded appearances of Gary Moore. Now digitally re-mastered from the original stereo production tapes, this great album has now been bolstered by the addition of seven live and studio bonus tracks. Record Collector magazine recently nominated this as one of the most collectable progressive rock albums of all time. This reissue is packaged in a full colour digipack with a 36 page booklet and includes exhaustive liner notes and lots of rare photographs and ephemera. The booklet also includes full lyrics and interviews with the band...
The UK based Back On Black record company mostly release metal albums, but recently they have started to re-discover some of the great rock bands too, and now you can find in their catalogue some blues artists as well. Rory Gallagher, ZZ Top, Rainbow, UFO, Saxon and the Michael Schenker Group records are available already or will be out in a month, and earlier this year the classic Thin Lizzy albums also have been re-released on beautiful black vinyls in gatefold covers. Of course the most important news for us that two of Gary's albums also will be out pretty soon...
EMI will release the classic Stockholm concert from 1987! At the moment the release is scheduled for 31st December 2011! Please note that this release has been postponed from an earlier planned date and hopefully it will be out at the end of this year. The double set will including a CD and a DVD, with the same 9 songs as it was released originally on VHS in 1987. The difference is that this time they've used the longer versions of the last two songs. "Rockin' Every Night" and "The Loner" were edited to shorter on the original release, but if the details are correct what we have got from EMI, it seems that now we can enjoy them in longer versions. DVD will be available separately as well. Watch this space for more info...
"2010 saw Gary Moore make a return to rock music after a long period of time exploring the blues. He was writing and working on a new rock album when all was brought to a halt by his untimely death on 6th February 2011. This concert from Montreux in July 2010 was his last performance to be filmed. The setlist draws heavily on his hugely successful rock albums of the eighties, stirs in a couple of his classic blues tracks with some memorable hit singles and includes three brand new songs that would have featured on the album left sadly uncompleted on his death. Gary Moore was one of the finest and most respected guitarists the British Isles have ever produced. This concert shows just what a talent we will miss."
