 Review by Jason Hartwell

"Another fantastic Finger Blistering Performance from the main man himself, Mr. Gary Moore!
We arrived in Leicester at Exactly 12 mid-day, and had a really relaxing day watching some of the many blues acts on the various stages. Then The Hampsters came on to take it up a notch, playing various blues songs. He asked the crowd if the wanted to hear some Jimi, which got a good applause. He then went on to joke, "Good, I`m glad there`s some Jimi Somerville fans in here tonight, I like The Communards". They finished their set with ZZ Top, "Sharp Dressed Man".
After a wait of 45 minutes Gary was due to come on at 10.45 pm. He was between 5 & 10 minutes late, but it didn`t matter because as he should have finished at 12 midnight, he went on till 12.30 pm.
Gary sometimes sounds like he plays with real anger. He was definatley fired up once again. After a few songs, he was his usual smiley self, drinking a glass of what appeared to wine. He commented, "There`s nothing like drinking your own p*ss!".
Highlight song for me was "Down The Line"! Played with amazing speed. I can`t wait to hear the album version and I hope it will be as long as the live version.
Only 1 encore as time was marching on and it had gone 12pm, Alvin Youngblood Hart came on to play with Gary. He was very good, but didn`t seem to want to stand center stage as Gary tried to beckon him over and was content enough to play his solo at the sidelines. Maybe he didn`t feel worthy enough next to the big man. Shame, but still very good!"
